HOW DOES THE ARAK2 FLY?
The ARAK2 offers the fascination of flying in all its facets.
The user-friendly line setup of the ARAK2 allows for effortless preparation for take-off, even in challenging terrain. The color-highlighted seams on the risers contribute to uncomplicated handling. The canopy rises continuously over the pilot during inflation, ensuring safe and easy take-offs.
Compared to its predecessor, the ARAK2 flies more stable and has additionally gained in performance, due to advanced manufacturing techniques. Thanks to the SPEED CONTROL, the glider can now be steered during accelerated flight using the rear risers, allowing for a more efficient flying style. The direct feedback from the glider not only builds confidence but also facilitates precise communication between pilot and gear. The ARAK2 makes it easier than ever to find the optimal position in thermals and updrafts, making flights not only longer but also more enjoyable. Its direct and agile handling increases the joy of flying, encouraging inventive maneuvers and impressive wingovers, while its benign flight characteristics ensure a high level of safety.
As a true all-rounder, the ARAK2 thrills every pilot, whether cross-country flyer or XC Newcomer. This advanced intermediate paraglider opens up a new dimension of freedom and confidence in flight, thereby setting new standards in the flying experience.
JET FLAPS
The Skywalk JET FLAPS extend the green arc as you approach the stall point, which substantially increases safety and also improves climb performance.
MINI RIBS
Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge increases its shape stability substantially. Advantage: fewer vortices improve the aerodynamics and with it the performance.
RIGID FOIL
The Rigid Foil nylon wires on the leading edge help maintain its shape and ensure constant ram air pressure. Advantages: better take-off behavior, more performance and lower canopy weight.
SMART LINK SYSTEM
Color coded seams on the risers to ensure that the risers are connected correctly and without being twisted. red = left, blue = right
SHARK NOSE
Together with a corresponding wing design, the shark nose technology improves pressure distribution in the canopy substantially. Advantages: much more solid flying feeling and substantial performance gain, especially when gliding on bar.
3D-Shaping
A precise calculation of the leading edge geometry and the installation of an additional strip of fabric reduce wrinkling in this sensitive part of the glider. Advantages: exact wing shape, more performance.
C-WIRES
Nylon wires sewn into the glider over the anchor points of the C-level lines. Advantages: better load distribution, reduced drag, more performance.
Speed Control
Riser steering system which allows the pilot to even out turbulence, speed and pitch while flying on speed bar without having to release the speed bar.
Sand Release System 2.0
Porous openings of the profile ribs at the trailing edge ensure that sand and dirt in the glider are automatically guided to the wingtip where they can trickle out. This helps preserve the material and relieves the trailing edge.
HOW DOES THE ARAK FLY?
Design
Because we already offer two distinctive intermediates with our TEQUILA and CHILI, we broke new ground in terms of the ARAK’s development. Its moderate aspect ratio and line concept share the straightforwardness of the TEQUILA series. Its performance-oriented profile in combination with the cell count and other built-in technologies minimizes drag and offers you nearly the performance of the CHILI series.
With innovative 32-gram material for top and bottom sails and 38-gram material for the leading edge, as well as our very kink insensitive Rigid Foil, the ARAK can be compressed super small and packed into any hike & fly rucksack. Yet it is sturdy enough to handling lengthy ground handling sessions or playful flying in the dunes.
Characteristics
The ARAK offers plenty of comfort due to its smoothness and its easy handling. The glider provides great feedback, creating confidence from the start, so you can focus on the essentials even in the most challenging conditions. This compact Intermediate wing allows playful and precise adjustment of your bank angle so you can optimize your position for every situation. From weak to shredded thermals.
Its direct handling makes the ARAK a blast to fly compared to other intermediates. Anyone who has always wanted to fly high wingover will find the ideal training tool in the ARAK. The ARAK’s performance potential is enormous and easy to exploit thanks to its simplicity.
That means no limits to your flying horizon. Whether you’re an XC pilot, a globetrotter or an adventurer, with the ARAK you will always have a reliable partner at your side!
